A Study on e-commerce apps usage, purchase modes and preferences

Incredin Solutions has been commissioned to run a study among general consumers of e-commerce app users.

Client objectives & Requirement

  • To understand how users of e-commerce apps uses the app for various purchases

  • To draw inferences from pattern of usage during festival seasons

  • Cities covered: All Metros

  • Our panel composition: 75%

Our approach

  • Client was looking for specific type of audience who uses e-commerce app with certain criteria. So we run a internal profiling exercise to categorize the specific e-commerce audience among our panel composition who uses e-commerce apps

  • Within a day we were able segregate and identified that 60% percent of our total composition matches with client criteria. So we decided to get remaining percent of the audience with the help of our partners with client's approval

  • We managed from scripting from launching in next 3 days and collected total samples in 6 days

  • Delivered the reports to client in next 4 days

Result

Though this study was challenging for us in terms of data collection. We were successful in getting the right audience for client by combining our proprietary panel and trusted partners panel. Client was happy due to the fact that we matched up to study requirement and they found some interesting revelations in terms of app usage and purchase modes preferences from e-commerce users.
